Ethiopians to Celebrate the 122nd Anniversary of the Victory of Ethiopia At the Battle of Adwa
The 122nd Anniversary of the Victory of Ethiopia at the battle of Adwa will be warmly celebrated by Ethiopians and the peace loving international community. The battle took place on 3 March 1896 between the Italian Colonialist arm and the peaceful Ethiopian People.
The war was waged at a place called Adwa in Northern part of Ethiopia. The Victory of Ethiopia against colonialism at the battle of Adwa has tremendous importance for the independence of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean people. Moresh Amhara Wogene (MAW) and the Ethiopian Unity for Justice in Britain(EUJB) are preparing to celebrate this historic day in London.
Various speakers will talk about this amazing battle and tell us how King Menelik’s Leadership was so important in Uniting the Ethiopian people and in defeating the aggressor Army. By wining this decisive battle Ethiopians successfully secured the country’s untouched sovereignty and territorial integrity.
