Preamble

The Ethiopian Unity for Justice in Britain (EUJB) established to advocate Human Rights, and to support the Ethiopian people in their just straggle against the tyrant ethnic system in Ethiopia. EUJB Endeavours to contribute in the realisation of a peaceful, democratic, united and sovereign Ethiopia, where all its Citizens and stalk holders enjoy equality and justice.

Considering the current Situation of Ethiopia, EUJB has successfully held a Public Meeting on 01 September 2018 in London. The purpose of the meeting was to discus and examine the performance of Ethiopia under PM Abiy Ahmed’s leadership and passed the following resolution:

Whereas: The current vague Federal system, its constitution, the confusing political ideology and policies of the country are causes of instability, conflicts and Human Right Violations in many parts of Ethiopia;

Whereas: displacement, arbitrary killings and lawlessness are still at large;

Whereas: Ethiopia is still at risk because of the reactionary interference and conspiracy of TPLF thugs against deepening and widening the current popular change;

Whereas: Ethiopia is enjoying political Support from overseas donors and improving its relationships with neighbouring countries;

Whereas: Many Citizens are still languishing in different known and unknown Jails;

Whereas: There is no reconciliation without justice and criminals are still threat against the security and stability of Ethiopia;

Whereas: the Federal system is used to divide and attack certain ethnic groups  separately;

Whereas: We welcome the peace deal with neighbouring countries to resolve the border disputes and the Algiers agreement should be carefully considered;

Whereas: Ambassadors are still appointed and Embassies are run by TPLF/EPDRF thugs who are obstacles to improve the relationships between communities and different social groups;

Whereas: We welcome the freedom of Ethiopians to hold rallys with their historical flags they recognise without harassment;

Whereas: The Ethiopian government did not give attention to the ongoing border conflict between the Gondar farmers of Ethiopia and the Sudanese armed forces to keep the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country;

Whereas: The current discourse and democratisation process of PM Abiy’s Government is appreciated and we encourage further wider and deeper Political, Economic and Social changes so as to stop lawlessness and human suffering in the area.

Whereas: We welcome the government’s decision to de-emphasise ethnic politics and division so as to keep the country’s Unity, common values and territorial integrity.

Whereas: Considering the huge role of the youth and its contribution for the current change;

Whereas: The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia is directly controlled by the lawlessTPLF;

Whereas: Welcomes and appreciate Mr Lema Megersa, Mr Demeke Mekonnen and Mr Degu Andargachew’s support to PM Abiy Ahmed in his endeavour to democratise Ethiopia; Now therefore:

1. Calls PM Abiy’s Government to replace the current  corrupt and irresponsible  National Electoral Board of Ethiopia so as to carry out a free and faire election in Ethiopia

2. Calls on the government of PM Abiy to review the current Federal as well as Kilil constitutions by involving and consulting the People of Ethiopia;  rights to secede be removed, and let rule of law prevails and all remaining political prisoners be freed,

3. Urges PM Abiy’s government that all the Ministries including the Army and Security Organs of the Country to be handled by representatives of the people of Ethiopia and ethnic based divisive propaganda to be discouraged;

4. Calls the government of Abiy Ahmed  to take zero tolerance measures against corruption and Human Right Violations;

5. Calls PM Abiy’s Government to bring all crime perpetrators to justice for the crimes they committed against innocent people;

6. Urges the Government of PM Abiy Ahmed to take swift actions against the anti democratization elements of the TPLF/EPDRF reactionary group;

7. Urges PM Abiy’s government to stop the illegal displacement and persecution of Citizens from their localities;

8. Calls PM Abiy’s Government to empower the youth so as to further democratise the country and enhance development;

9. Calls PM Abiy’s Government to examine the vague Federal system, its constitution, the confusing political ideology and policies of the country which are causes of displacement, instability, conflicts and Human Right Violations in many parts of Ethiopia;
